I’ve known Logan since high school, but we really didn’t develop a relationship until college. We spent many nights trotting around Gainesville until early morning, apartment parties, and the going on an occasional frat house adventure.
About three weeks after landing back in Florida, I got a text from her asking if I would consider shooting her wedding. As many of you know, about five years ago I made the decision to stop photographing weddings. I could list all of the reasons, but this felt different. After talking to Nick about it and thinking on it, I decided to go for it and I’m so glad I did.
Nick and I packed up Owen and headed down to Key West on New Year’s Day. It was the most beautiful weekend, intimate, and meaningful…the way that I believe every wedding should be. With only around forty guests, it made for a truly special and memorable experience.
After not being in the wedding industry for some time, it surprisingly didn’t take me long to get my groove back. I immediately fell back into my old rhythms…shooting the details, portraits, and everything in between. It felt good, and made it even better that it was for someone I knew and cared for.
Logan and Daniel, thank you for the opportunity to photograph the most exciting and precious day of your life! I’m thankful to call you friends and can’t wait for what’s to come!
